W Music Distribution USA, Inc. – Warranty Policy

General Warranty Terms Products not purchased from an authorized W Music Distribution USA dealer are not eligible for warranty coverage under this policy. Customers must contact their original point of purchase for assistance. The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser, the warranty period is from the original purchase date.

Warranty Eligibility: To be eligible for warranty coverage under this policy:

The product must have been purchased new from an Authorized W Music Distribution USA Dealer.
The warranty applies only to the original retail purchaser and is non-transferable.
Proof of purchase (dated sales receipt or invoice) is required for all warranty claims.
The product's serial number (if applicable) must be present, legible, and unaltered.
Warranty coverage begins on the original retail purchase date.
W Music Distribution USA reserves the right to determine eligibility for warranty coverage based on inspection of the product and supporting documentation.

The customer is responsible for shipping the product to W Music Distribution USA. If the warranty claim is approved, W Music Distribution USA will pay the return shipping within the continental United States. To qualify for warranty coverage, product registration is required. Important: Please retain your original sales receipt as proof of purchase. It is required to validate your warranty.

Electronic Products: Electronic products must be operated only with the manufacturer-recommended power supply, voltage, and polarity. This Limited Warranty does not cover damage resulting from the use of incorrect power supplies, improper voltage, reversed polarity, battery leakage, liquid exposure, unauthorized modifications, or unauthorized repairs.

Product Classifications

Framus & Warwick / Sadowsky Instruments: Warranty coverage begins on the date of the original retail purchase by the first end-user purchaser from an Authorized W Music Distribution USA Dealer, as evidenced by a dated sales receipt or invoice. W Music Distribution USA reserves the right to request proof of purchase and verify the product's distribution history.

· New Instruments

Instruments designated as New are factory-new products purchased from an Authorized W Music Distribution USA Dealer and are covered by the standard limited warranty applicable to the product category. Framus, Warwick, and Sadowsky instruments are covered by a two (2) year Limited Warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for the original retail purchaser from the date of the original retail purchase.

Minor cosmetic variations inherent in natural wood, grain patterns, color, finish characteristics, and other normal manufacturing variations are not considered defects and are not covered under this warranty.

· Showroom Stock Instruments
Instruments designated as Showroom Stock have been displayed for promotional purposes and may exhibit minor cosmetic wear from handling. Showroom Instruments are covered by a one (1) year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for the original retail purchaser from the date of the original retail purchase. Cosmetic imperfections are not covered under warranty.

· Demo Stock Instruments
Instruments designated as Demo Stock have been used for demonstrations, clinics, trade shows, artist events, or sales presentations. Demo Stock Instruments are covered by a ninety (90) day limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for the original retail purchaser from the date of the original retail purchase. Cosmetic wear resulting from demonstration use is not covered.

· B-Stock Instruments
Instruments designated as B-Stock may include factory seconds, open-box items, products with cosmetic blemishes, damaged packaging, or inspected customer returns that meet functional specifications. B-Stock Instruments are covered by a ninety (90) day limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for the original retail purchaser from the date of the original retail purchase. Cosmetic defects that resulted in the B-Stock designation are excluded from warranty coverage. B-Stock products may not be eligible for replacement with another B-Stock product. Warranty remedies may include repair, replacement with an equivalent product, store credit, or refund at W Music Distribution USA's discretion.

· Discontinued Stock Instruments

Instruments designated as Discontinued Stock are unused instruments offered at reduced pricing due to discontinued models, previous SKU or UPC designations, packaging changes, excess inventory, or other inventory-transition purposes. Discontinued Stock Instruments are covered by a ninety (90) day limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for the original retail purchaser from the date of the original retail purchase. Due to the discontinued status of these products, identical replacement instruments may not be available. Warranty remedies may include repair, replacement with an equivalent product, store credit, or refund at W Music Distribution USA's discretion.

Electronics and pickups in these instruments are covered under a two (2) year limited warranty. Covered under a 2-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship. This warranty excludes damage caused by incorrect installation, misuse, moisture, battery leakage, or unauthorized modification.

Gig Bags & Cases – Gig bags and cases included with the purchase of a new Framus, Warwick, or Sadowsky instrument are warranted to the original retail purchaser to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of the original retail purchase.

This Limited Warranty does not cover cosmetic wear, damage resulting from overloading, excessive stress, misuse, neglect, accidental damage, or unauthorized modification, including zipper or latch failure caused by improper use.

W Music Distribution USA reserves the right to inspect the gig bag or case and determine, at its sole discretion, whether the reported condition is covered under this Limited Warranty.

This Limited Warranty Does NOT Cover:

Products not purchased from an Authorized W Music Distribution USA Dealer.
Products that have been modified, customized, repaired, or serviced by any unauthorized person.
Products with removed, altered, defaced, or illegible serial numbers (where applicable).
Normal wear and tear, including but not limited to fret wear, finish wear, hardware plating wear, oxidation, tarnishing, corrosion, knobs, switches, jacks, and other consumable or wearable components.
Cosmetic damage or imperfections, including but not limited to scratches, dents, dings, buckle rash, finish checking, discoloration, wood grain or color variations, or other cosmetic conditions that do not affect the product's functionality.
Damage resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, accident, dropping, impact, improper handling, improper installation, improper adjustment, improper string gauges or string tension, improper power supplies or voltages, battery leakage, liquid exposure, or unauthorized modifications.
Damage resulting from environmental conditions, including excessive humidity, dryness, rapid temperature changes, improper storage, exposure to sunlight, water, moisture, flooding, fire, or other acts of nature.
Damage occurring during shipping after delivery to the original purchaser.
Routine maintenance and normal adjustments, including setups, truss rod adjustments, string replacement, intonation, action adjustments, and cleaning.
Customer preference regarding tone, playability, appearance, finish characteristics, wood grain, color variation, or natural aging of materials.
Any incidental, consequential, or indirect damage to persons or property arising from the use or inability to use the product. Finish cracks, warping, or damage from environmental exposure or non-approved products
Routine maintenance (setup, string changes, truss rod adjustments)

Special Warranty Conditions

User-Installed Electronic Components

Because user-installed electronic products require soldering and permanent installation, the following conditions apply to all onboard preamps, wiring kits, retrofit modules, and similar electronic components sold separately.

All electronic components must be tested prior to soldering or permanent installation.
Products that have been soldered, modified, or permanently installed are not eligible for return.
Warranty claims for installed components will be considered only when clear evidence demonstrates that the product was defective prior to installation (for example, photographs, video, or documented bench-test results).
Damage resulting from improper installation, soldering, incorrect battery voltage, reversed polarity, moisture, improper grounding, physical damage, or unauthorized modification is not covered under this Limited Warranty.

Onboard Electronics & Preamp Systems (Factory Installed)

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, W Music Distribution USA shall not be liable for any incidental, indirect, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of income, loss of profits, or damage to other property arising from the use of, or inability to use, any product covered under this Limited Warranty. W Music Distribution USA, Inc. reserves the right to improve, modify, or refine its products without obligation to retrofit previously sold units.

Warranty Claim Procedure

Contact Your Authorized Dealer
If your product is still within the return or exchange period of the Authorized W Music Distribution USA Dealer from whom it was purchased, please contact the dealer directly for assistance.
Initiate a Warranty Claim
If dealer assistance is no longer available, email help@wusamusic.com to request warranty service. Please include:

A detailed description of the issue.
The product model and serial number (if applicable).
A copy of your original proof of purchase.

Return Authorization & Shipping
If your claim appears eligible for warranty evaluation, W Music Distribution USA will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and provide return instructions. Products returned without prior authorization may be refused.

The customer is responsible for shipping the product to W Music Distribution USA for warranty evaluation. If the warranty claim is approved, W Music Distribution USA will pay the cost of standard ground return shipping within the contiguous United States. If the claim is determined not to be covered under this Limited Warranty, the customer is responsible for all return shipping costs.

Inspection & Resolution
Upon receipt, W Music Distribution USA will inspect the product to determine whether the issue is covered under this Limited Warranty. If the claim is approved, W Music Distribution USA may, at its sole discretion, repair the product, replace it with the same model or a comparable model of equal or greater value, issue store credit, or refund the original purchase price.

If the claim is determined not to be covered under this Limited Warranty, the product will be returned at the customer's expense.
